We have recently acquired 4.5 acres directly adjacent to our existing farm where plan to expand our compost operations. On this site we plan to increase the production of our famous “Black Gold” compost soil as well as offering additional products for local farmers and landscapers.
OUR COMPOST
Since 2011, we have produced over 500 tons (1,000,000 pounds) of compost soil. These numbers include food waste collected from local restaurants, caterers, grocery stores, breweries, schools,universities, cooperate cafeterias, food service operations, and local food terminals. Our efforts havealso allowed for us to create jobs for local residents that we are able to pay a living wage. In 2014 we became a Licensed EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) Class Il Compost Facility. Our facility is the only Class Il Compost Facility in the greater Cleveland area. This designation has allowed for us to expand our compost efforts and continue reducing the amount of food waste that goes to local landfills.
